Social media is big and by big I mean huge! Social media has grown at such a rapid rate and new sites and ways of sharing information pop up all the time. So what are the most important facts? What would make the highlight reel?

Here are a few that stood out to me.

In the age range of 18-34, YouTube reaches more people then any cable company. 

Linked in has a lower percentage of active users then Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pintrest 

the last surprising stat to me was that a quarter of Facebook users don’t bother with the privacy settings.
